Privacy policy

Clipsary is designed so your clipboard history never touches our servers.

What stays on your device

Everything you copy is stored locally on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad in an encrypted SQLite database container. On-device Optical Character Recognition (OCR), QR code parsing, and Apple Intelligence features run strictly locally on your hardware. We do not operate any web servers that receive or store your clipboard history.

iCloud sync

When you choose to enable sync, your data is transmitted directly through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure to your personal, private iCloud database container. Only your Apple Account has cryptographic access; we cannot read, inspect, or decrypt your synced clips.

Link previews

If you explicitly enable rich URL previews, Clipsary queries the target website to fetch open-graph title and image metadata. This setting is disabled by default to prevent incidental network requests.

Website analytics

This website uses cookie-free, privacy-preserving aggregate analytics that track aggregate page view counts without collecting IP addresses, browser fingerprinting, or tracking cookies.

Purchases

Direct website purchases are processed by Gumroad, Inc., which handles credit card processing, sales tax, and email receipts. Mac App Store transactions are processed directly by Apple Inc. Clipsary never sees or retains your financial information.

Zero developer serversClipsary operates with zero cloud infrastructure storing your clipboard history. Data syncs exclusively through your personal Apple iCloud container.
